I just got a new LG Connect 4G last night, I've already rooted it and everything seems fine. Although I notice there is usually no signal bars (but without going to no service; with the x) and sometimes it just switch to full for a few seconds and then back to no bars... it stays without any signal bar most of the time.
Currently, I'm in a place with no 4G or wifi signal at all. Once I get to the spot where I have 4 bars and try to make a call, a dialog box pops up and says "Emergency calls only". Once my signal comes back, why does this pop up?? Is there some kind of 4G signal booster that can be attached to the phone like a small antenna?

I have been using my Captivate for almost an year now. Installed different roms etc and it worked awesome till now.
Few weeks back, a block icon showed up once in a while, which did not allow/receive calls or sms. It blocked the network. But after sometime it goes off and then i could view the signal bars again (meaning I could take/receive calls).
I have searched here and google and tried about everything but I cannot find a solution. I have been having a problem with my at&t gs3 not picking up a signal, it will have bars sometimes with no data, then randomly drop all signal together. Sometimes I can get 4g after initially changing APNs, but it always drops out after a few seconds.
. I noticed that while my phone ( today.. ) was sitting on the desk next to me, the signal drops. Im on 4g no problem , full signal on Eclipse CDMA rom. I have an xt912 model.
Its weird, the signal will drop from blue 4g, to gray full signal no 3g or 4g. Then in about 15 seconds the 4g icon will pop back up.
My wife works at a US Cellular store, and has heard numerous complaints about the gs3 dropping calls on a regular basis, even in good signal areas. I'm wondering if anyone else has had these same problems? I am thinking of getting the phone, and want to know if this may just b a carrier issue or something.

Hello people 4about a week now I've been having trouble with signal. I'm on T-Mobile UK. The problem is my fone will b on working fine then a few hours later signal bars will be grey I can't make calls send tex or use data I then have 2reboot my fone. Then it all happens again a few hours later. I've tried many different ROMs and its still the same.

XXLS8 modem is very poor for me on 3 uk, London i.e. dropping calls and slow internet, xxls6 was good at internet speed and gps and didn't drop any calls. Obviously Nelp4 has been my favourite but every time I have tried running NELP4 on leaked JB or official JB it doesn't seem to settle very well. Now I am in two minds either to keep NELP4 on official JB or should I use XXLS6.
So my note 2 is showing 4g but no bars. Instead it has a not available signal (circle with a bar through it) where the bars used to be. I can go online and go to Facebook etc... Anyone else with this problem?
