Has anyone experienced overheating using this phone? As you know I hadn't had my phone activated for a week or so, and never had an issue with the phone overheating, although I didn't use it like I do now that it's activated. And I can just barely use it to maybe browse the web or send a couple texts and the battery temperature will report 98 and it's even got up to 107 yesterday.
I have two LG Optimus V phones. Suddenly yesterday, one started having an issue where the phone doesn't seem to be recognizing the charging status of the battery. The battery is not the problem. I put in the battery from the working phone into the sick phone and it does not recognize that the battery is fully charged from that phone either.
Usually I charge my battery at night. Then use it all day.
My battery have 30-40% left on next day evening.
But on yesterday evening, I transfer data from PC to my phone via USB cable.
It takes around 10-15 minute.
I don't know how many battery left before connect but It should have 30-40% as usual.
but affter I disconect my phone. I notice that my battery is 95%.
I typically plug in my phone overnight.
When I unplug in the morning it is coming from "100% fully charged" state, but as soon as I unplug, it nearly always jumps straight to 98% full....often within a few seconds.
What's more.....if I review the battery use under GSAM Battery Monitor it seems to effectively start from 98%......e.g.
i just got a replacement phone from my insurance provider and up until the last couple of days or so everything was fine
recently though, i've had a problem with the battery. the battery life is pretty decent, but every once in a while the phone will just randomly shut off, then when i turn the phone back on the battery will be drained by a significant amount.
How do you tell if there's an application running in the background that you don't know about?:confused:
My reason for asking is that a couple of times now my HTC Evo V G4 has become very hot, which causes the battery to drain rather quickly.
Yesterday it happened while I had it sitting in the sleep mode on the table. I didn't know it until I went to make a phone call.
So I plugged in the charger to my Rezound last night (12am) before bed. This morning (8am) my phone only half charged. The indicator light was flashing yellow/green and the back of the phone was very warm.
Bad battery?
Thoughts?
This doesn't happen all the time, but I get a total black screen and no response at all. The only way out of it is a battery pull or hold the power button until it reboot.
This happens in my pouch, and when I pull the phone out, it is locked up. The phone does seem a "tad" warm, not extremely or overly hot, just a little warm.
