Support Only ppl with smartphones receive my texts, WTF?

http://androidforums.com – Some of my friends say they aren't receiving my texts and those that make this claim all have one thing in common... they don't have smartphones. Some only receive garbled text, nonsensical partial sentences or letters that don't spell anything, I have noticed the ones who get these garbled texts all have cheap little flip-phones, or trac phones. Others will receive my texts but only every other one I send. I notice when I type more than a sentence or two, they almost never receive them. Friends will whip out their phones & show me what my texts look like & it's ridiculous! It (General)

Been having trouble with my HTC Incredible S recently. Texts rarely send, and I rarely receive texts, unless I turn off all data, and constantly reboot my phone and/or send texts to myself to kick starts texts into sending and receiving. I'd buy a new phone, but am waiting for the Nexus 4 to come back into stock.

I flashed this device to verizon and it worked fine until i ran a program called wifi kill. Idk what the program did but it reverted all of my flash information back to sprint. So i had the flash redone again and now Im having issues.

I can make calls and send texts but i cannot receive the calls. The calling phone gets the ringing tone but the HTC does not ring at all.

I can receive texts, make and receive calls and send and receive MMS texts. I have contacted T-Mobile support but am having problems getting it fixed through them because I have AOKP on my phone and they don't understand it. I am using Google Voice to send texts but I don't really like it and want to use the Android messaging app. When I check the SMSC number it shows "+12063130004",1

I've had my number enabled with Google Voice for a while now.

Ive recently noticed an issue where the SMS app on my phone, whether it be stock, handcent, chomp, etc, will not receive the texts, but the GV app will. I go into settings in GV, and choose Messaging app to receive texts.

Most of my friends own iphones.

I have never been able to receive photos sent from their phones. All I get is the text portion which obviously most of the time make no sense without a photo.

I am certain I have got some from my sister's iphone, but there are definitely 4 friends who have sent photos that never go through.

Is it me or is it them?

Well first day of an android phone after years of iPhone have been promising yet very aggravating at the same time.

Went with go SMS pro for my note 2 because I wanted something that would play nicely with iPhone group texts.

I have an HTC Inspire 4G and its started not making calls or send or receiving texts even with full serivce..... Any help would be appreciated,.

my phone often doesnt recieve tets for maybe 5 minutes but for the last 3 hrs it hasnt recieved any texts but im sure areound 50 texts have been sent. I try using other phones and text it but it wont go through. When i text myself it works. Is there anyways I can make them go through? I have tried rebooting and my signal is fine.

I am considering buying the google nexus 7 (without data).

Is it possible to send and receive texts using my tablet via my mobile (nokia N8-00) without using data?

I basically want to connect my tablet to my nokia N8-00 such that i can send and receive texts using my tablet through my mobile, without using data, so i am basically using my sms allowance on my mobile's sim.
