I searched the forums and couldn't find anything close to the mystery icon that showed up recently on my HTC evo 3D:
It's the second icon from the left, between the More Notifications icon and the Data icon. I've been trying for hours to figure out what it is. I'm sure it's a custom icon from some app, but I haven't installed a new app recently.
So I when I miss a call, and they leave a message, I get the "Missed call" notification icon, but not the "Voice mail" notification icon nor sound. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
I am running Xubuntu with Xfce and today I accidentally removed an icon from the Notification Area that provided quick access to Thunderbird and Pidgin chats. Is there a way to restore that icon or to restore the whole Notification Area to default settings?
I marked the icon in question on the screenshot:

Apparently, I lost the volume icon, too.

Hi!
I'm having some problems with the skype notification icon sitting there on the left of my notifications bar, and I would like to know if there is any way to sort it out.
I'm trying to integrate my app with Ubuntu notification system. It works ok, but I don't know how to show my icon in the bubble.
My code looks something like:
notification = Notify.Notification.new ("Title", "Some text here", "/data/media/my-app-icon.svg")
notification.show ()
Unfortunately only text is visible.
I have made whatsapp icon and notification icon look like bbm. And i change the emoticons too. If you have a problem with the text colour, you can change the chat wallpaper to "no wallpaper"
DOWNLOAD
I hope you like it, thanks :good: :D

I just installed 12.04 on a netbook and installed the program 'Mail Notification'. I tested it with my local (ISP) mail account and it works ie it gives a popup notifier and makes a sound. But there is no icon in the top panel for the program that shows a new mail message has arrived.
