I set my phone down for an hour, when I checked it just 5 minutes ago I noticed a notification icon I didn't recognize. I pulled down the notification bar and it says I have a software update. I'm excited, so I tap it only for it to check for
updates and then tell me my software is up to date. Like, what the hell right? Software update thinks it's funny.
6:10am Eastern. No update pushed yet.
That's fine. Been patient for this long waiting for AT&T to finally push a software update allowing multi-window use on the Note II.
Thing is, now that I have checked for a software update this morning, all further checks come with a message:
Current software is up to date.
Hi guys, i have an arc s and have noticed the ice cream sandwich update is available. What i was wondering is, will i lose anything on my phone when i update it?
The reason i ask is i had an x10 last year and when it had a new software update i updated the software and it wiped everything off my phone and i was gutted. So I'm a bit scared of doing this in case it happens again.

Ive been using HTC Incredible S for more than a year now. I tried to update it to 2.3.5 with sense 3 before I received the update from HTC. My phone is in S-Off mode. The conversion from S-on to S-off mode was successful...but couldn't install 2.3.5.
ok here goes? i have rooted my motorola razr xt 910 to get rid of some build in software ( evernote, gomeet and hotpursuit) unrooted again got an update to ginger 2.3.6.now im waiting for ics and last night got the update ready for download did it twice and would not install properly it went to 25% and then stopt.
I thought i posted this issue yesterday but cant seem to find it. Occasionally when I receive a MMS message it says downloading and nothing happens until I manually update my PRL and Profile. I tried this after I called Sprint customer spt and they pinged my phone and told me to do the update. Is there a setting to make this update automatically on my Galaxy SPH-D710?
I'm running Fedora 17 now for about 2 months. Today I ran the Software Update and there are approximately 50-75 packages to be updated. After dependencies had been resolved and the packages started downloading for approximately 15 minutes, I received this message:
"The software is not signed by a trusted provider.
Alarm not received during sleep.
I have an alarm set to midnight to update my view once the alarm goes off. The alarm works when the device is awake - have have tested this by changing the time to midnight etc. However when testing on my phone it does not work during sleep. I had my phone on sleep a few hours before midnight and then checked the app at around 8am.

Recently i have rooted my phone. Yesterday i got this message that there was a software update available, so i donwloaded the update. When it restarted to apply the update it booted into ClockWorkMod Recovery and i couldn't boot it normally anymore. I have already tried to apply the update in clockworkmod, but it says: can't find /sdcard/update.zip no such file or directory.
