I'm running Viper4G 2.0.2 and have noticed that "Mobile Network" under "Settings" goes to a 'Disconnected' state every now and then. As a result, I lose my data connection and can't browse the Internet or even the Play Store. Rebooting the phone tends to fix it, as does connecting to my home network via WiFi and then disconnecting.
Another noob question;
The N4 connects to my home network just fine.
But, how does the phone determine which network (wifi or mobile) it uses when moving data? I looked for somewhere to set the order of priority (use wifi first, then mobile) but couldn't find it.
I assume that the N4 uses wifi first, if available, then the mobile network if wifi isn't available.
Hi there I brought this samsung galaxy y phone on a buy and sell site and everything was going ok until I decided to restore factory settings. When I'm trying to send sms or call someone it is coming up with an error message saying mobile network not available.
This is my first smart phone and I've only had it for a few days; so far I love it, but I do have an issue I haven't been able to solve. When I turn off the mobile data connection via the Settings > Battery & data manager > Data delivery > Data enabled option it turns itself back on the next time I unlock my screen. I installed the 'Data Enabler Widget' and the same thing happened.
New data from mobile ad network Mojiva out this morning paints a picture of the state of mobile advertising, highlighting trends across its network from February to June of this year. Some high-level conclusions: rich media ads dominate, the mobile web shouldn’t be discounted, the majority of mobile ad requests came from Wi-Fi connections, and RIM is still a major player.
I have had my Samsung Nexus S 4G for over a year, the other morning I was unable to recieve or make any calls (no dial tone). I looked up the status under system settings and the mobile network state said it was disconnected.
I have spoke with Sprint customer service, taken my phone to the sprint store (they worked on it for over an hour) they reset the factory settings.
So I turned my phone onto 'Sleep' cause it was dying and I've never had this problem before. My mom's phone works fine, it's just mine.
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me... I bought a straight talk merit from someone on craigslist . When I got it home I noticed no bars on it when my husbands picks up fine here then I got to looking. When I go into about phone then status it says network unknown, signal strength 0dbs 0asu mobile network unknown, mobile network state disconnected...
I have a very strange problem with my Samsung Galaxy S II. When I have a WiFi connection I'm able to sync all of my mail accounts, Yahoo, Google, & Exchange. When I'm connected to the mobile data network (AT&T) I can sync Yahoo & Google but not Exchange. I have no problem connecting to our exchange server via webmail through my browser while connected on the mobile data network.
