Support Losing signal with cable connected

http://androidforums.com – My stock (4.0.3 updated) S2 loses the signal when it sits with either the USB cable connected to my laptop or the charger cable connected. It works for some time, then within an hour there is 'no lines' signal and I can't make a call. If I pull the cable and wait for a few minutes it will find the signal again (3 lines) and everything works fine again. I would really like to get it working with the USB cable as I have the phone permanently connected to the PC through MyPhoneExplorer where I can control the phone from the PC and synchronise it with Outlook. Any ideas? Jim (General)

Hey Guys!

My sister decided that she wanted me to flash her Motorla Flipside. So I decided I would just root it and format the phone and everything. The problem now is when I plug in the USB Cable to the Phone and PC, it goes from connected via usb to scanning memory card to connected and so on. It will do it constantly. If we plug it to charge with the usb cable, it works.

Hi, I am having a slight problem and am at a loss.

First of all, my phone is stock. I bought my OTG cable a few months ago and it worked just fine. I was using it to play games with my PS3 remote. However, with less time on my hands, I put the games aside and with it, I was no longer using my OTG cable.

A very small amount of water got onto my charging port, and now it won't charge at all - the phone itself works fine, but it won't charge via cable or even recognize the phone when i plug in the USB->PC cable.

I'm thinking of replacing the USB flex cable, but I've read many posts on here about people having signal problems after installing theirs - and I see there's various different revisio

Quick question on RJ-45 cable. I ran ethernet cable, this cable is about 200 feet long. I only need 100 feet cable, does the extra length going to hurt in terms of speed or signal? Please advise.

Hi ,

I have Samsung Galaxy s3 which was working fine for last 2 months.

Today when i connected my charger it showed as "USB connector connected" same message that comes when i connect OTG cable.

Hence my S3 is unable to charge.

Again my charger is recognized as OTG cable.

It is not rooted its a stock device. Please help. Shall i go to Samsung Service Centre ??

Hi all, wondering if someone can help me figure this out....

My microphone isn't working regularly.People can not hear me on phone calls. It won't record, video has no sound, no Google Now voice actions, etc...

But... it works on speakerphone (I've google that and comes across many instances of that problem)

It also works if i plug a microusb cord in the port. Thats the strange one.

OTG cable not working 13 weeks 3 days ago

i am using an international version of galaxy note. when i try to connect the OTG cable it says USb cable connected but the pen drive is not mounted where as i connect the same OTG cable to the s3 the pen drive is mounted this problem occured last few days back at first it was working very well... can any one suggest me what to do pls... my phone is out of warranty thank you... :(
