http://androidforums.com – Hi, I've had my LG Shine Plus (from Telus in Canada) for two years and have one year to go on my contract so I'd really like to stick it out. However, I've hit some kind of wall in the internal memory -- my phone will no longer send text messages, update contacts, or browse the web due to lack of memory space. I have most of the SD card free and I recently updated the OS (Android 2.3.3) allowing me to move apps to the SD card. Unfortunately, apps like Facebook, Yahoo Mail, and Twitter have the "Move to SD Card" option greyed out. Has anyone else encountered this? Are there a (General)

I have an LG -E405 phone running Android 2.3.6.

As can be seen here, the phone has 1GB internal memory and 384Mb RAM.

When I look at default App manager, this is what I get,

RAM - 231Mb System Memory - 157 Mb. Internal Memory - 378Mb. SD Card - 2Gb.

Also, all the applications I install, by default take up space from System memory.

Hi all, I have been using Android phone for years. Previosly I owned a HTC Sensation XL. I have no problem of moving the apps between internal phone memory & SD storage. This week just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S4.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i where I keep getting memory nearly full messages (I am assuming that it is the Phone memory that is nearly full as there is only 17.45 MB available). The result is that I am not receiving text and emails until I move or delete something in the phone memory.

So I hooked up a brand new android media player, love it. I thought something was wrong with my 8 gig sd card, cause it only showed a 2 gb sd card.

As it turns out, the internal memory seems to be divided into an internal memory, and a built in sd card memory.

I bought a samsung galaxy mini 2 smartphone 2 weeks ago.I also bought an 8gb micro sdhc card.

I have had my Commando rooted since new (M080) and use Titanium Pro for managing the apps, but for some reason, even with as many apps moved to the SD card as possible, I still have a memory issue on the phone.

Hello all,

I just received my 16Go S3 a few weeks ago, and I was very disapointed to see that we only have 11Go of free space, which is very small and even more for a 500€ device... I feel like Samsung just stole one third of my internal memory ...

New to the forums and I'm sure this question has been asked loads of times so my apologies. I did trek back a few pages but couldn't find an exact answer, or it was too technical for me to understand!

I'm having a problem on my phone where I'm updating the standard apps (Maps etc) but it says I'm out of memory. As it's the basic apps it seems to be an internal memory issue.
