Tonight for some reason my phone was off by one hour. I live in the central time zone yet is was giving me the eastern time zone. Turn on and off, removed battery. All to no avail.

there is an issue with TWRP recovery in the timezone section, i live in louisiana, and i have a central time zone in my area but it has a different time from what the central time zone should have. and daylight
right now its 7:10pm
and the time that it has is 6:10pm
any solution for that?
or do i have to wait for an update to come up and fix that issue?
seems the new version of php in 13.10 does not like not setting the time zone when you call the date function
i could just get the time zone from the client, but i am using the number as a id and i don't want to allow duplicates
extremely unlikely to have more than one time zone for this use, but rather not let it me possible.
i came up with this code (don't care about windows server support)
First I have to clear out that I've installed Cyanogenmod 11/Android 4.4 on my S2 and ever since, my time changes overnight. I have the time set automatically to my time zone (central time), but at some point in the morning my time goes forward 6 hours, so when I wake up at 8am, the phone says 2pm.
Is there a way to correct this in this version with this phone?
I create an event on the calendar, and the default time zone is GMT (currently +1). All time settings on the phone are GMT or automatically found via location, however, every entry gives a sub-text showing Pacific time, and when you go back to edit the entry it has defaulted to Pacific time and even illustrates the adjusted times, as if they were set this way originally.
I've had the Nexus 4 for a week now and I've faced quite a few problems already:
1) My phone doesn't connect to the wifi network (even though the wifi info is saved) until I turn off wifi from the setting and turn it back on. I called up google support and they said that's how the manufacturer designed the phone so you will have to do this every time you move in to a new wifi zone.
