http://androidforums.com – Asus Transformer TF300TG Jelly Bean 4.1.1 4 Days a go i received automatic update to , download, installed it, everything fine except for my Gmail syncronization. I Select my Gmail account from setting, the Accounts & Sync page and i got a Sync Error. My sync email has a red icon, click, open it, "Gmail" and "Conctacts" on the list have a gray icon, they are not in sync, the other voices as calendar, etc are sync and work fine, only "Gmail" and "conctacts" are experiencing problem. At the bottom of screen a message worning me that "Sync (General)

My contacts seem to have doubled up viz: Picasa Web Albums - Pete Cresswell - Misc.

Thankfully, the dupes do not seem to have penetrated my contact DB (i.e. they only show up when I bring up Phone | Contacts....

I own Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) 4.1.2 with a root enabled. I've noticed that my Google account sync settings may suddenly reset. For example, I go Settings - Accounts - Google - <my account> and tick "Sync Calendar", "Sync Contacts", "Sync Gmail". Then I press "Sync now". Everything is ok so far.

On my past android phone when I entered a contact directly into the phone it would sync with my gmail account.

Motorola has this stupid "backup assist" program built in and now I can't figure out how to get contacts to properly sync with gmail.

Of course the one's that I enter directly into gmail sync. That is not the problem.

I am new here and new to the tablet and in need of help.

Just got my Tf700 and updated to JB and for some reason it does not update my Gmail. It synched everything, however it does not show notifications when i get an email. Even when I open Gmail, it does not sync until I click "reload." The notification is checked. I have no idea what to do about it. Any help is appreciated.

I updated to firmware 4.1.1 and ever since then I've been having problems with my email.

Just randomly, my email will stop automatically syncing. This includes my 2 Microsoft Exchange accounts and my Gmail account as well.

My Stratosphere worked fine but in the last few days (maybe since the system update) My Gmail will not sync in the stock email app. It works fine on the Gmail app...

I would like to auto sync the gmail and calendar apps, only when they start. I am having a Galaxy SII (use the Gmail app and the Samsung Calendar app sync with goog), and I am relatively noob about Android. When composing a new message on my Android's gmail, I don't get the list of my gmail contacts automatically. I need to manually enter the whole address.

I've activated the "Sync Contacts" option in the settings, but it fails.

any idea how to fix this??

Am just wondering if it is possible to sync a Gmail account's Calendar and Contacts without setting up the email.
