Woke up in the middle of the night to a ringing noise on my phone, it wasn't coming out of the rear speaker? First thing I did was to check my alarms, sure enough they were turned off. I turned off the phone and it went away 3 min later the noise came back!! While being off. I could only think of being an alarm for a hot battery?
Hi all,
Every time my lock screen activates, my wifi switches to 3g. I'd like my phone to stay connected to wifi when at home or at the office. My Sprint Optimizer is turned on, but for some reason when my phone is in sleep mode, it switches from wifi to 3g.
I had a 3 month old S3 that was draining the battery really fast. I tried everything from a new battery, to flashing back to stock and installing absolutely zero apps. No matter what I tried, the phone was chewing through the battery, even when I wasn't touching it. I would go to bed, wake up, and the phone had lost 20-30% battery.Verizon sent me a replacement, and the same thing was happening.
A while back I had the update come through for my phone all went fine and has been working fine since, until last week.
Looking for an app or a way to have all notifications on silence except ringer of phone at night. I used to be able to do this before the jellybean update but not now. Things I have tried so far : 1. set phone to sound with all volume turned off except ringer. Emails and texts still vibrate as notification. 2. created blocker through settings, email still vibrates.
Hi all,
My non-rooted Nexus S has been running smooth on Samsung 4.1.1 update from last 2 months or so. While one of the apps was being updated and installed, I switched off Wifi on the phone. Since then, the app was under "installation progress" for a few hours. I thought of switching on WiFi and since then, the phone is auto-rebooting continually if WiFi remains on.
I didn't see this in anyone else's issues with the new ICS update, but since I downloaded it, (just as the title says) every morning when I wake up my phone on its own has turned WiFi off and turned data on. Is this a setting I don't know about?
It's more of an annoyance since I have unlimited Data, but when that goes away something will have to be done.
My wife's stock SGS3 got the update to JB sometime thru the night. Is it probable that my device was affected by an attempt to update? I had to pill battery to power-up as it had shut down on its own.
Any suggestion as to how I might get my WiFi going again?:confused:
Ok this one kind of puzzles me.
I was installing "wine" last night and since I knew it was going to take a while I closed the lid of the laptop and turned it upside down on the floor. (I always turn the laptop upside down when not using it otherwise might overheat)
