http://androidforums.com – Google's voice to text on the S3 is way less accurate than what I was experiencing on my Epic 4G. I have gone into the setting and selected "Personalized recognition" but have seen no improvement. Anyone have any ideas on how to improve this feature? (General)

There's a huge difference in the Voice Search apps across the two different versions of Android.

I use Google Voice Search for EVERYTHING. I ride a Ninja everywhere, add it's my only vehicle.

is there a work around for using a 3rd party text app (go sms pro) so that voice mail is not affected? If i receive a vm (with that app installed), i get a text message from "ANDROID" 9016, and do not get the voice mail message. i called sprint tech support and they advised me to remove go sms pro app. once i did, my voice mail messages came through.

Just received Nexus 4, it is awesome, battery life is OK so far, not much idea but it is on fine side (not different than iPhone 4S)

Tried setting up Google Voice voicemail by dialing code that is generated by google voice (in browser) and it didn't work.

I need some ideas on where to start for developing a voice command based app in linux. I don't want to do a full speech recognition (as in speech to text). I want my application to react to a set of predetermined commands, for example "start", "stop", "left", "right" etc.

I'm trying to send a text using S-Voice on my Samsung S3. Many of my contacts are merged google/facebook. If I try and announce "Text John Boy Walton", s-voice brings both the google and the facebook contact up separately and asks "Which one?" I've tried making the names slightly different (John Boy Walton and John Walton), still the same thing.

Voice dialer sucks on 4.1.2 7 weeks 5 days ago

I can no longer use a voice dialer with my maxx HD. The voice command app that came with the phone was reliable, not perfect, be we understand each other. The new voice dialer in 4.1.2 is worse than useless. I have tried almost every name in my address book, and it did not recognize a single one.
