http://androidforums.com – Hello, I recently purchased a samsung galaxy note n7000 in Hong Kong. i purchased it from a store that imports international n7000 from europe and told me he did something to the phone to add the chinese language. i cared less because i don't speak chinese and won't use it anyway. after doing some research, i think he rooted the phone or something. i'm not too sure as i'm new to the android platform. i recently tried to upgrade the phone via kies but i get a msg saying your phone doesn't support firmware upgrade via kies. or something like that. i tried OTA and i get a message (General)

Hi i have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 from China and now wish to use the phone in Australia however i need to update the firmware to Australian to remove all Chinese etc.

I have tried using oDin3 v3.04 but every time i get a failed upload. Phone it not able to start now and does not connect via Kies?

Connect to my phone (Galaxy SII) - Kies notifies new firmware is available Firmware upgrade to ICS 4.0.3 worked like a charm..... installed firmware: PDA:LPG / PHONE:LPG / CSC:LPG (TGY) But that upgrade apparently did something bad to Kies.

(A note, when I plug the phone to my laptop without Kies started, I can browse my phones content.

When I am trying to upgrade my phone (GT-N7000) from ICS to Jelly bean using a unofficial site in between this process the phone stuck up in a stage for long time so that I disconnect the battery and try to on the phone by pressing switch. Hello So i just purchased a galaxy note Gt-N7000 only to find out i cant get 4g on it from tmobile or any other company. Tmobile is giving real bad service so i want to change. Att said there prepaid go phone plans will not work on my note but i know they will as i have read through these forums. H2O also offers 4g but cell phone stores keep giving mixed info.

Hi...checked out the answers and they don't seem to answer my question, so here goes....i have a 7.7 galaxy tab purchased in UK but now in Saudi Arabia...it's running Android 3.2...i've been told, if i was still in the UK it would have upgraded by now to ICS but as i'm not i have to upgrade via Kies...i downloaded Kies to my laptop and awaited for the ICS install package but couldn't find it.
