Support HELP with tethering.

http://androidforums.com – It seems whenever I turn on the portable hotspot/WiFi on my phone my 3g data green bars instantly turn gray. So I will start with full green data 3g then turn on tethering hotspot to connect with my nexus 7 and it turns to full gray bars. I am running jelly bean. Please let me know if there is something I can do. (General)

Greetings to all you One S owners. Can someone help me with a small problem. I cannot get the One S to act as a WiFi Hotspot. I am having a reoccurring problem. Sometimes, when I flash a new nightly, or even just reboot my phone, I get no data. Even when I turn on wifi, it connects but stays gray instead of turning blue or teal. Same thing for my 3G. I have full bars, but it stays gray.

The only way to connect my phone and Nexus 7 via bluetooth is to have Bluetooth Tethering enabled under Settings > More... > Tethering & portable hotspot. But when I disable BT on my phone and then turn it back on, this setting is always turned off. I'd like to keep it enabled if possible. Can it be done?

I do not have a tethering plan and I know about creating a new APN with the epc, but when I go into my Mobile Hotspot to do the tethering to my iPad, it says Error under the words Mobile Hotspot after I turn it on (I can still connect to the Internet on my phone with this error message)

I'm looking for a small footprint app that automatically turns off wifi/data when the screen shuts off...especially if I have wifi turned on.

Just recently bought a Asus Nexus 7 and I find it an awesome device.

Unfortunately, I was surprised to see there is no option to turn my device into a wifi hotspot or to share my nexus internet through USB to other computers.

Is anyone having an issue with their data keep droping out while tethering. I am rooted on jelly beans build 1 - beanstown 106 rom. I wanna say that this happened once I rooted. Before installing a rom I tried foxfi and it conected for awhile then the 4g and data would drop out causing me to reset. Once I turn tethering off then on it works again for awhile.
