http://androidforums.com – Hi. I'm having issues with the Google Talk app. It doesn't login when I'm using my data network. It always works on wifi, but not over data network. Because of my data plan, the only other app that I can use is ebuddy, but it has trouble sending me notifications of incoming messages. Any sugestions to fix my issue? thank you very much. (General)

Google talk not working when using data but works fine on wifi People say going to settings>syncing/accounts and unticking data background and reticking it will fix this, but the samsung s3 does not have these options.

I did find that removing my data restriction completely fixed this problem immediately.

Ok so I ditched sprint last ( reasons should be obvious ) went on a verizon plan with my boyfriend got the 4gb data plan. I have just a couple questions. 1. Im a little worried about the 4gb plan coming from sprint unlimited. Reason being I hardly ever used more than 5 gigs ever I think it was due to sprint slow network.

I have been using my Galaxy Nexus on Straight Talk for three months now, and never had a problem with voice, text and data till yesterday. I can still make calls and text but, my data doesn't seem to be working. I have the correct APN settings. I don't know if anyone else is having the same issue or it is just me.

So I just got my hands on a used HTC vivid. I'm very pleased with how elegant it is and how smoothly it runs. I first connected it onto a wifi network where it performs quite well.

The problem is I can't connect to the data network.

i'm on tmobile. i have 1000 minutes talk, UNLIMITED text, but NO data plan. if i send multimedia messages (MMS). do i get charged for data? people told me you either need wifi or data on in order to send mms. however, they also said that the MMS uses a different server from internet data.
