http://androidforums.com – I did a factory reset, and something went bad. Allthough I was able to boot up, and I was upgraded from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1 when I did the data wipe. Starting over, I should have had a prompt to connect with gmail and download my contacts, but this didn't happen. My People app is unpopulated, so I chose to connect to "sign into an account". While I am sure of my login input, it didn't recognize this, and then the process ended with a "couldn't finish - couldn't open connection with the server" error. My contacts are backed up to my PC, but I want to sync them to Gmail for the fu (General)

Hi there - I had to reset/wipe my samsung droid charge and I want to reconnect my SMS Backup + but it only gives me the option of the gmail account that's associated with my phone, but before I had it connected to a different gmail account that I have. When I open the app and click "connect" only one gmail account shows up.

i have a problem with my contacts on android. I'm using JB on galaxy nexus. I'm not using google/gmail for any of my email/contact synchronisation, which seems to be leading to the following problems.

My contacts seem to have doubled up viz: Picasa Web Albums - Pete Cresswell - Misc.

Thankfully, the dupes do not seem to have penetrated my contact DB (i.e. they only show up when I bring up Phone | Contacts....

Hello all, I went through this weekend and deleted some contacts from Google that I no longer needed. However, my Evo 4G now won't sync with my google contacts. Whenever I try to Sync I get the message "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." GMail and Calendar will sync, only Contacts won't.

When composing a new message on my Android's gmail, I don't get the list of my gmail contacts automatically. I need to manually enter the whole address.

I've activated the "Sync Contacts" option in the settings, but it fails.

any idea how to fix this??

I just noticed that my Android Contacts have a new group named "PeteCress" (which is my Skype ID), and a contract for each person in Skype's "Contacts" list. No idea when this started...

I know that when you put contacts into your android phone, it automatically syncs them to your Gmail account and you can import or export them yadda, but I'm on my computer on my Gmail account and I cannot find any of my phone's contacts!
