I am stock ics unrooted on razr maxx hd. Foxfi used to work but now my laptop restarts every time i try to connect to foxfi. I tried to connect to foxfi bluetooth but i couldn't get to the page in which bluetooth connects to internet on my laptop.
Is there a free wifi tether app for unrooted razr maxx hd that still works?
Two days ago we reported that Verizon was sending out texts to the DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX owners that an update to Ice Cream Sandwich was looming and just around the corner. And today, an ICS build running on the RAZR has leaked with the build number of 6.16.211.
Been experimenting with tethering my Nexus 7 to my Razr MAXX via Bluetooth using PDANet Tablet on the Nexus and PDANet/Foxfi on the phone. While it works for general browsing, I noticed some apps can't connect (Reddit client BaconReader for example, also HBO GO sometimes among a couple others ) at all claiming there is no network available.
Is there a reason for this, or a fix?
We heard they could be delayed, but it looks like everything is a go because Verizon just announced the DROID RAZR HD and the DROID RAZR HD MAXX will hit stores next Thursday, October 18. The DROID RAZR HD will cost $199 and the DROID RAZR HD MAXX will run you $299.
Wile I am trying to fig out the rooting thing on my phone I heard about foxfi. I though I would give it a try. I have it installed on the phone. and my laptop see's my phone when I turn foxfi on. The problem I am having is with the wifi protocols. My wireless router is running wpa2-personal. Foxfi can only run wpa-personal. I don't know if it makes a dif.
My friend is about to get a cell phone but isn't sure what to get. She is looking at the $200 range with a contract and she for sure wants the RAZR line. The question is simple though; which one?
I have the Droid RAZR Maxx HD and absolutely love it. The battery is great and even better than my RAZR Maxx I had before hand. However, this is $100 out of her range.
Recently Motorola unveiled three new members of the RAZR family. The DROID RAZR HD and the DROID RAZR HD MAXX are nice editions, but it’s rare that the highlight of an event such as this would be the budget phone. The DROID RAZR M is much smaller than the original RAZR, but packs the same 4.3-inch display since it’s edge to edge. That’s not even the best part.
I have a dilemma, I am up for an upgrade and I have decide if the Droid Razr Maxx or the Droid Razr HD Maxx is worth the wait & extra money. I currently have a Droid Bionic so either will be a step up, but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas about this. The only real difference I can find is the pixel number, which is quite significant, but had anyone else heard anything?
Motorola has formally announced the three newest additions to the DROID RAZR family: the DROID RAZR M, DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD smartphones. Each smartphone has unique characteristics and features that aims to set it apart from the rest of the competition.
