Support Error during 2.3.5 update

http://androidforums.com – Hi, Ive been using HTC Incredible S for more than a year now. I tried to update it to 2.3.5 with sense 3 before I received the update from HTC. My phone is in S-Off mode. The conversion from S-on to S-off mode was successful...but couldn't install 2.3.5. and sense 3. Later when I actually received update from HTC ...the software download was successful but will not install the downloaded update!!!! Ive been trying to update it since long time...but nothing works. PLzzzzzz help. (General)

Just wanted to share a small news. Today at 11:15 AM IST, I received a small update to the HTC Incredible S, which said it was updating the "Personalize" App.

Has anybody else received this OTA update? To check, goto settings >> About Phone >> Software Update >> Check for manual update.

I just received an OTA update from HTC. The file reads OTA_Bravo_Froyo_TMO_UK_2.29.110.6-etc etc etc.zip. But every time I try to install it, I get:

E:failed to verify whole-file signature E:signature verfication failed installation aborted

My phone is not rooted or messed with in any way. (I'm seriously tempted to root or sell though).

I have a rooted S3 with CWM at my recovery image and the OTA update came out and everytime i try to update, the update downloads but when the phone reboots into recovery/download mode, it fails right there and doesnt install the update. How can go ahead and make this happen and fix the issue that I have. Im afraid i might have to unroot and then update. HELPPPP!!!!

My tablet is rooted, but I never bothered with ROMS in the past. I received notice there was a firmware update.

hi, I finally received the ota update for 4.1 on my ns4g today, but when the phone reboot to bootloader to install the update, i realize that i needed to backup something, so i cancelled the install. after i did the backup, when i went back to check for update again, i dont get the ota update any more. does any now know how i can get the ota update back? thanks a million....

Yesterday, I received a notification of a system update. I was a bit surprised as I wasn't aware that an update was in the pipeline. Anyway, the operating system itself hasn't changed - I was already running 2.3.5 and I'm still running 2.3.5. The software number on my Wildfire S now reads 2.26.161.1 but I don't know what it was beforehand. My HTC Sense version is 2.1.

Hi guys,I received the 4.1.2 update a few days ago, then at about 4am this morning I checked the time on my phone and there was a message saying new software update avaliable. I pressed accept and fell back to sleep so I have no idea what it was.Does anyone know what it was? I have not noticed any differences as yet.ThanksNat
