I have an raspberry Pi running raspbian and I have configured it as a wifi hotspot using Hostapd and dhcp server.
Mobile clients connect to the wifi network and browse internet,
Now I need to keep the track of each user how much internet data it uses and also need to limit the user to particular data limit(e.g:1 GB)
I need to track data plan as well how much data used or left for particular user.
-Hello all, Im extremely new to Linux and Im trying to setup a network of about 8 users on a Satellite internet system that has limited monthly bandwidth.

So I've had this phone for a couple of months now with no issues but for some reason, the mobile data on the phone has suddenly stopped working. I still get 4G signal but the phone is just not connecting to the internet, I still have about 1GB of data usage left for the month as well. The phone still works completely fine over wifi, so any ideas why it won't work using the mobile data?

I realized smartphones nowadays that are running 4glte uses quite a bit of data. I have a limited of 5gb of high speed data and anything over will throttle.
I have a limited data plan now, Old phone was Nexus 1 and no problem
With data usage . Got a Nexus 4 and use about twice as much data. I see Google maps is using most of the data. I am going to update my data plan in few months to correct it.
T-Mobile said it was because it is a faster phone will all the latest updates
I have a Virgin Mobile $35 plan for unlimited data. Well, since this is the only way I can get internet in my current predicament, I usually get throttled within a week of starting a new month.
What's strange is for the past few months, usually a few days or longer after I get throttled, suddenly I am no longer throttled.
