I have this problem, when i´m on my home wifi i can´t download or update apps from google play altough i get the notifications about available updates.
When i click download or update is starts to downloading but it never shows percentage or any progress just the blue bar moving.
After a long struggle of unrooting, getting the global update and returning to root, I thought I was finally back to a completely working wonderful phone when I saw I had no wifi.
When I try to turn wifi on, it does nothing and eventually returns an error. There's no "obtaining IP address" ...
WiFi does not work: Intel Centrino Advanced N 2230 wifi chipset (For Dell Inspiron or other laptop):
Fedora 17 default install does not recognize this WiFi chipset because it does not include the needed WiFi firmware.

ya see i don't use data mobile when i turn on wifi the 4g symbol suppose to show up usually when i'm out in town i turn off wifi anyways after i turn off wifi after haircut 4g symbol was there then i was in the car turn on wifi then it disappear i thought that's not good i connect at home 4g is gone forever
i have tired airplane mode
Friday after work I started to get a download for Facebook (build 144481) and I can't seem to get rid of it. I uninstalled FB but it was still doing it. I shut the phone down and restarted, but it was still there. Anyone have this problem too?
Im running the latest AlienWarp Rom, so I still need to do the B10 update. Like I said this started happening Friday, so it should have updated by now.
Hello! I'm new to the Android phones and need some help. I connected my LG Optimus S to my home wifi network in order to save on data use with my carrier. I'm able to use the web with no problem if I use the browser but unable to download apps from Google Play. The downloading bar does not move or show any progress.

so i have a prevail, long story short, it was rooted, now its timie to sell it, so i unrooted it, but had to reflash a rooted boost image, DONE...
But its on FROYO still...
but the service was turned off.
I want to UPDATE it to latest info.
So is it possible over WiFi?
or Manual download of the files, then run from SD card
i have an unlocked at&t nitro hd and i use it in an asian operator
every thing was good until i decide update it to the new official ics 4.0.4
now when i wana conect to my wifi network it didnot show any wifi access point
i did factory data reset but it didnot work
once again i did a factory reset without sim card
the phone setup wizard show my wifi and works great
