http://androidforums.com – Hey, I rooted my phone using the guide on this forum and that worked great (except from having a blackscreen when I'm in CWM recovery, but fixed this with Droid@screen). I made a backup using CWM, and it's a good thing I did this!!! I'm trying to install a custom rom om my phone, but everytime after installing the custom rom the phone won't start up anymore (it's stuck on a blank screen with the HTC logo for hours) and I have to restore my backup to get my phone working again. I've tried the following roms: SpeedDroid JB V1 MIUIv4-marvel-2.7.6-odex None of them work. Is there any rom yo (General)

So I've found this forum pretty intimidating because certain roms require certain kernels and the root method for my phone didn't supply such kernel.

So this is my phone: Build FI27. Rooted. Custom Agat Recovery.

What I'd like to know: Safest recovery for flashing most roms. What roms am I able to flash with this recovery.

My friend bought a HTC Incredible S - made in Taiwan. It came with Stock 2.3.3. Then he upgrade OTA to ICS.

When getting boring,when ask me how to install a custom Rom. I unlocked bootloader,install 4EXT Touch Recovery for him,then make a backup of stock ICS.

Hii guys sorry for being such a noob .. but I am very confused here.. I am not able to install a custom Rom in my beloved xperia arc my phone just stuck on sony logo.. I tell u what i did..

So I had my phone rooted and everything was fine. And when I tried to flash another Rom onto it my phone got bricked. I fixed it back to stock. I rooted my phone again but I can't seem to get the custom recovery back on it from the "All In One Recovery" thread.

Hi all i own a Spice MI 410 phone, i tried to install CM9 custom ROM on it using clock work recovery mod but each time after successful updation my phone doesn't reboot! its stuck at boot screen. If i restore it it runs fine. I really want to install a custom rom please help. I cleared all data, dalvik, cache etc.

I have a rooted (boot loader unlocked) HTC Wildfire S Marvel (A510E)

It has a strange problem. The lock screen freezes every time after locking and I have to try about 6 to 7 times to unlock it.

This is Common across all the ROMs that I have tried including stock and many Custom ROMs.

I need advice for a friend, his phone is stuck in an infinite loop, this is his message:
