I was developing a dictionary app which could be accessed in a third party app. The basic idea is that whenever you are using any app(say viewing a webpage or messaging) and you want to know the meaning of any word then all you have to do is select that word and share it to my app.
Over the past few days, the word "DONT" has ended up in my phone's dictionary. Now, whenever I type "dont" and expect the phone to automatically place an apostrophe in the correct place (via spellcheck), it changes the word to "DONT" instead.
Touch dictionary is an app for all those who are tired of switching apps while reading articles/books etc on your mobile just to check the meaning of word. It gives you access to online dictionary by mere touch of a finger. No need to switch between apps, type the word, get the meaning and switching back to the previous app.
Are there any dictionary apps that allow you to look up words in text, like on the iPhone I think you just highlight the word and have the option of defining it?
If so, are they free or do you need the premium services?
i read a lot of ebooks(pdf,epub..etc) on my tablet,
is there a way that all i have to do is just touch over a word while I'm reading , then the dictionary automatically pops-up for that word?
