http://androidforums.com – i still can't connect internet via wifi. it is super slow and pops out "page not available" I noticed that some other people also have the same problem. Wonder how they have solved it. (General)

Okay, I've been using Arch for about a year now and I have randomly hit a bug. I was at a friend's house with my laptop using the internet and wifi fine, I come home turn on my laptop and I noticed the little orange LED that shows my wifi isn't on and my laptop refuses to connect to the internet.

The internet indicates that after the 12.04 upgrade, there is a bug involving the constant dropping of wifi signal by network manager. I am having this problem as well, where perhaps once an hour, the wifi suddenly drops off, and network manager searches again for the wifi connection.

help! I have a dual boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04.

Under Windows 7 I can connect to my wifi network and then to the internet. No problem.

Under Ubuntu I can connect to the internet via ethernet. I can also connect to my wifi network but when I do so I can't connect to the internet for more than a few seconds.

I recently bought a phone with Android ICS 4.0.4. I have use lan to connect to internet in my laptop. I created a ad hoc wifi network in laptop with internet sharing. I used to connect all my other devices through this connection to access internet. They all worked fine. But, not my ICS phone. The same phone is working well with wifi routers in my work place.

The problem is in the title.. I'm using an old laptop to distribute the internet connection.

The hotspot was created easily, and i can connect one device at a time, and use the internet provided by the old laptop. If i connect 2 devices, both of them loose internet connection, and the wifi keeps disconnecting. Is it a hardware problem?
