So I sold a laptop screen to Ahmed Gabr aka ahmedrapperboy26 on ebay. This guy files a claim stating that the screen was broken without even making contact with me first. After some back and fourth email I agreed to take the screen back. I get this thing back and he replaced the screen with his broken one. I shipped him a Samsung and he shipped me a AU Optronics.
I ordered some note 2 glass screen protectors cause I thought I would have the n2 for quite some time but I came across a deal I couldn't pass up on Craigslist for a note 3. So I put the n2 glass screen protector on the n3. They fit pretty decent for being for a N2. It would fit even better if I wouldn't have put it on crooked lol. The glass screen protectors were 10 dollars shipped on eBay.
I dropped my One X the other day and the screen cracked in several places. I ordered an LCD and a new glass for the phone, but all the tutorials seem to stop once the phone gets taken apart. When I get the LCD, do I just put adhesive on the glass, stick it on, and put it back together? Or is there a different procedure I need to do?
So, I have one problem. Ma RAZR XT910 is broken. Screen is cracked and it is not working. I am going to sell it without repairing it by I want to wipe everything. Is it possible to do without using screen?
Around December I bought a refurbished Transformer TF300 from Newegg. A couple weeks ago the glass got a crack in it. I didn't drop it or anything like that, but I was traveling and when I got it out of my bag it had a crack on the screen. Shortly after, within the same day, more cracks appeared. I would like to attempt to repair the screen myself.
So, the glass cracked and I replaced it myself. IT seemed like a success, because it booted up fine and was working perfectly. HOwever I quickly noticed that when the screen timed out or is shut off manually , the phone remains on but the screen is off. Hence, it will ring but I see nothing on the screen. Only way to get the screen back on is to open remove battery, turn back on.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4bv2678m95...%2011%20AM.mov - Here's a video of my girlfriend's Samsung S4 phone. She's afraid I might've cracked it by accident, and the sign she feels that it's cracked is cause of the grey bar that appears right of the password bar. My question is, is this a cracked screen, a glitch in the screen rendering and is it serious? So far it only shows up on the lock screen.
