http://androidforums.com – hi Guys, I am using S3 last two days are facing problem with avast anti virus application. a vast notification mention virus scanner problem found if I open any application that application name also added list. I did resolve all after one same problem notification virus scanner found one problem. Please help to solve the problem and advise me how remove virus in my phone. I did scanning also no use. I just installed the "ClamTk 4.38" anti virus software. It tells me the Anti Virus Engine is outdated. How can I upgrade the Anti Virus engine?

Hi I recently started to suspect virus activity, so I installed Avast! for linux. Job one, as per most antivirus apps, i downloaded the latest virus database, and applied it. The moment i ddi tho, Avast crashed and now will neither run nor allow me to uninstall.

First you have to download avast anti virus software from avast website http://www.avast.com/linux-home-edition#tab4 now you will see avast web page called avast Linux home edition you will see a Note: the program will not work with out a valid license key.

It started a couple days ago when i downloaded some apps now it will not stop turning on and off unless i remove the memory card and it will also say "process android.[process has stopped unexpectedly. media has stopped " it will say this over and over even without the memory card !! Also functions such as ringer and alarm etc.. dont wrk..

I ran KlavAV and two files come up as suspected viruses, /usr/lib/firmware/vxge/X3fw.ncf and /usr/lib/firmware/vxge/X3fw-pxe.ncf The name of the problem is given as Heuristics.Encrypted/Zip. Is this a virus? Or is Klam just scared because it's encrypted?

What is your take on anti virus? Is it worth the beating my battery takes?

So since my threads keep getting closed/deleted without receiving any actual help (thanks mods, strong commitment to helping people... strong power trip), I will attempt to ask this in a more rule-abiding manner:

If I use certain ******* sites, and download certain files from them such as movies, music, programs, etc., do I need to run an anti-virus on my Nexus 7?
