http://androidforums.com – Hi All, Apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't see a thread for it in relation to the Note 10.1. I've just got the Note 10.1 and weirdly yesterday notifications seem to have switched off. I definitely didn't switch them off myself and wonder if it happened after I did an update (for S Suggests). I have the little crossed out i in the bottom right hand corner and dont get any sounds for notifications at all. When I try adjusting the notification sounds in settings (with the 3 sound scrollers) I don't hear anything and there is a line through the icon which I guess means it is o (General)

Hi,

I added a few MP3's from a sound site, however some only work as ringtones but will not work as notifications. I have the two folders- Ringtones, Notifications but there is no choice to "set as" notification" only Phone ringtone, Caller ringtone or Alarm tone.

Hi all just a quick question i would like to know how to switch notification tones off for example "the simpsons tapped out" i want the notifications but not the loud sound effects of homer saying "better them than me" at 3am. On the ipad it is easy settings>notifications>simpsons tapped out>sounds off or use the do not disturb button between these hours is there

Is there some app that manages notification sounds? I want to have different notifications sounds for different applications.

my current setup is SE X10 (2.3.3) with Go Launcher EX.

I want different notifications for: SMS (stock), Gmail, and eBay.

I work on call therefore need to have my phone available to ring during the night. But what I don't need is SMS notifications, Facebook messages etc waking me up.

I've found various Apps but nothing seems to do the trick.

I own a Samsung Galaxy 111. A fat white arrow with a black minus sign recently appeared in the top left hand corner of the screen. I've read that this means that the notifications have been turned off and that if I turn them on it will go away. I can't seem to locate where to turn them on.

Hi all, I have a Huawei U8510 Blaze... It has been a jem up until yesterday.. I done nothing at all to it, but i notice people send me SMS messages only by looking! It is not set to silent or vibrate all the volume are high but it does not play the Notification sounds any more... I have tried the system sounds as well as mine on my Sd card and theres nothing!

Is there an app on the play store that will allow me to assign different notification sounds to different notifications? I would like to have one sound assigned to email and another to a text message etc. A paid or free app is fine.

Notification Options? 5 weeks 1 day ago

I just got the HTC One today because the new Blackberry lacked a few options I needed for work, but I can't get the notifications to work in a way that makes sense. I can't seem to get the notification tone/sound to go off for text messages. When you go to "settings"....."sounds"....."notifications and alarms"...

I recently switched from an iPhone 4S to a Galaxy Note.

If my iPhone was locked and I received a Push Notification (e.g. from Facebook Messenger), the lockscreen would show and tell me I have a notification.

With my Note, I hear that I have a notification, but the screen stays off.

Any ideas how I can change this behavior?

I am running the latest Samsung Galaxy Note ROM (XXLRK).
