I am considering rooting my LG Optimus 2x (P990), running Android 2.3.4, using SuperOneClick which I have installed under Windows XP on my laptop. When I connect my device to the laptop running SuperOneClick should SuperOneClick recognise it in any way or should the window stay blank until I click 'Root'?
So I am having to use this phone since my last one was destroyed. I would like to root it so I downloaded superoneclick and I put my phone into usb debugging mode but when I start running superoneclick to go through the root process it always stops at shell root step #5 then the program stops responding. Any help to fix this or get my phone rooted will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am trying to root my Samsung Infuse 4G. I have downloaded the necessary applications such as Java and Android. I can get all the way to the superoneclick stage. I click the root icon and after only a minute or so, it stops responding and I have to close the program. What can I do?
First off....I've found this forum to be fantastic! I'm a relatively new member but have been looking at the forums well before joining. I have some questions on rooting. I have an old Droid 1 that I plan on rooting. I've been doing a lot of research on the topic with this being my first attempt at it.
Ok.. I am an admited NOOB and have officially reached the frustration mark in trying to root my bionic. I've been to a ton of threads from different places and get confusing and outdated info so I thought I'd give it a shot here. Here is what i'm experiencing..
I have tried to root my Bionic using SuperOneClick, Motofail, etc. SuperOneClick gets hung up at step 5 and then stops.
