I bought my galaxy note i9220 in China on 14th Aug.
It was working perfectly fine when I was in China using a China Mobile SIM card.
Last Sunday I went to hongkong to catch a flight to London, and when I was in Hong kong, I changed back to my UK 3 SIM card, which again, was working OK in hongkong.
Before take off, I switched the phone off.
During the flight, I must have hit some but
im heading to China in the beginning of January and will be staying there for about two to three months. so i was wondering is it possible for me to use my phone in china with a chinese sim card. i heard if i unlocked my phone then i will be able to use my phone with any carriers, but i dont know if that's true for chinese carriers.
also, is there any risk for unlocking a phone?

I got scammed on craigslist and the guy won't respond. So I bought a T-mobile Galaxy S3 and it worked fine for over a week until 2 days ago when it stopped connecting or registering to the T-mobile network. I found out from T-mobile it was blacklisted as stolen/lost that day. I called to confirm the phone wasn't stolen or lost when I bought it.
