I've been using Linux for about three years now, have been a 'buntu based user (mostly Linux Mint) almost exclusively since I first started using it. Two distros led me to Statler. First was Peppermint which introduced me to Openbox since it is the window manager for LXDE.
Hello bangers!Im currently using Mint 14 Cinnamon on my desktop (64 bit) and Crunchbang Waldorf on my laptop (32bit). Problem is my laptop is for e-mail and office work, so I cant use it to test all the stuff I want since it really, really, REALLY sucks. (and 32 bit)I am considering switching to Crunchbang Waldorf on my desktop.
Linux Mint Debian Edition has proven to be a popular release for the Linux Mint developers. It's certainly at the top of my list of favorite distros. Linux Mint Debian edition uses the GNOME desktop and, as good as it is, it's just not right for some folks (especially those on older or slower computers). Enter Linux Mint 201104 Xfce version.

Should I resort to re-installing #! now, or are there other things I can do to try and fix this?Is it Waldorf or Statler you use? If it`s Statler you probably would want to upgrade to Waldorf anyway, now that Waldorf is the new stable release.

We just got a laptop in the family that will be shared by 2-3 people, so I decided to put a Linux on it for myself. I allready have #! on my PC, so I decided to dig through my install disk stash. I tried some distros OpenSUSE, Ubuntu 11.04, Debian, finally installing Mint Debian. But after half a day of calibrating Mint I gave up on experimenting and installed good ol' Statler.
hi there, started using #! 5 years ago on my now old-but extremly faithful toshiba m100 and every other pc i have owned inbetween after getting the shits with various other OS/distros.. like all rescent versions of windows and ubuntu/mint. so far ive never had an issue, other than the logitec headset not working in browsers before that 5 second fix.I can't really fault this system.
I currently run Statler on my laptop, but now I'm looking to install Crunchbang on my desktop. I was wondering whether I should install Statler or the latest beta on my desktop. If I install Statler, how easy will updating to Waldorf be in the future? I've never done an upgrade beyond just updating packages before. Will the move to Waldorf be simple as that?
Linux Mint 15 “Olivia” has been released so it’s time for another review of one of the most popular distros of all time. Linux Mint has always been one of my favorite distros, it has so much to offer any desktop linux user. This release doesn’t disappoint either.
