Sudo apt-get update fail: Malformed line 59

http://www.unix.com – I am trying to update/add a repository. Whenever I try to do a Code: sudo apt-get update I get the message: Code: E: Malformed line 59 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse) E: The list of sources could not be read. and when I do: Code: gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list I see the following: Code: # deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 10.10 _Maverick Meerkat_ - Release i386 (20101007)]/ maverick main restricted # See http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for how to upgrade to # newer versions of the distribution. deb http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ on (HowTos)

Hi, After trying to install the Adobe Reader, I now get the following exception:

E:Malformed line 53 in source list /etc/apt/ sources.list (dist parse). I'm on 12.04 - Precise Pangolin

Here's the output from the source list:

Well I get a update notification and then this error appeared. So I go to the file and this is my 59 line (I think)

deb index of / lucid partner

But heres my sorce.list file. I have read some threads, but I don't find what they say is the error.

Please have a look at this /etc/apt/sources.list and tell me what needs removal or what else I should be done.

I checked /etc/apt/sources.list

I deleted line 57 which was caused the problem but put it back in and the software center opens then closes straight away and i still havent installed skype. any help with the software center and getting skype would help..

I keep getting this warning whenever I try to run sudo apt-get update

it seems there is a problem in my source list which I cant find; everytime I try to open synaptic this error appears:
