App Store advertising firm adeven today unveiled a new tool for its apptrace mobile analytics platform, which provides sentiment analysis for the App Store’s 24 million reviews. The free service lets users check out any title available on the App Store and see how user reviews score it in terms of three key criteria: positive feedback, addictiveness and crash complaints.

So I'm a new developer, and I worked extremely hard to create my first app. I tried to go all out, and add in every feature and everything I possibly could. So far, it's been several months, and I've only been getting positive feedback and e-mails telling me that the app is great.
This morning, I found a 1 star rating and a reply which simply doesn't make sense.
An analysis of more than 400,000 apps in the Google Play store has revealed that more than 100,000 of them pose a potential security risk to their users. The analysis of the Android apps released last week by cyber security vendor Bit9 examined the security permissions requested by the programs.

App Annie just unveiled the App Annie Index, which will be a monthly report that provides revenue and download analysis of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. They have some pretty interesting things to report in their first month. The first of which is that Apple’s App Store generates four times more revenue than Google’s Play Store.
The iOS 6 App Store changes are being met with mixed reviews, and I actually am not a fan of how they work from a user experience standpoint. But how are the changes affecting the ranking of apps, something developers depend heavily on for App Store success?
