Hello CentOS admins.
I am an AIX admin bent on learning CentOS. Yesterday I downloaded
CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso, burned a DVD and loaded it onto a Lenovo
IdeaPad N585 laptop. All went well, except for getting the integrated
wireless to work.
I just installed Slackware64 14.1 on a HP Pavilion DM1 netbook. Slackware64 14.0 was previously installed. The netbook has a Broadcom wireless card:
[root@buzz:~] # lspci | grep -i network
03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)
With Slackware64 14.0, I've been using the broadcom-sta driver for the wireless card.
Hello,I just installed Crunchbang on a new HP laptop:Linux pavilion 3.2.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 #1 SMP Fri Jun 29 20:42:29 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux At first there was no option in Network Manager for selecting the wireless network.
I brought a samsung netbook with a broadcom Wireless adapter BCM4313 [14e4:4727]. I did a clean install of ubuntu presise Pangolin 12.04 LTS and my issue with it is that i keep on being disconnected every minutes then it reconects it's selfs as fast as it had been dsconected. i tryes the sta driver and the open source driver and both of them gave me the same results.
Help please. Put it on the computer ubuntu 11.10 64bit. Used the response in the topic WiFi does not work, Broadcom STA Wireless driver does not work on a BCM4313 but this does not help. Computer Lenovo z570, wifi card Broadcom Corporation BCM4313
When choosing Network Manager > Enable Wireless nothing happens. WiFi not enabling.
I just installed Fedora 16 on my new laptop (Lenovo Ideapad z570), which has very similar hardware configuration to my old laptop (Lenovo g570).
Although I was able to get the broadcom wireless running on my old laptop using this guide...
I was unable to achieve the same results on the new laptop.
