Stuck Downloading Notification

http://androidforums.com – Hey guys.. This problem is troubling me for over a week now. I was downloading a small pdf file from my gmail app. The file didnt download and the notification continues to show and this "continuous" downloading eats up my battery completely. The file is not showing in my downloads folder/app that comes in my Galaxy S2. I cleared cache and data of my gmail but the "downloading" notification just wont go. I have heard few peaople having the same problem and they ended up factory resetting the phone. I dont want to do that. Is there a solution?? Thanks (General)

Ive seen similar issues but cant find them in search..

anyways i was downloading a pic in chrome and i guess it didnt grab it and now its stuck saying "<Untiled>" and then "data" under it and then a download bar that moves and never stops.. any idea how to fix this?

Hi guys, since I downloaded several wallpapers via chrome yesterday, I noticed that no matter how many times I cleared the "download complete" notifications, they would still appear again. Even just after I rebooted the device; and moreover, I also cleared the data of "download" and "chrome", they still appears anyhow!

Anyone has any idea what the problem is?

I've been having a problem downloading pictures or files from the internet. It will just constantly pop up in the notification bar as "download unsuccessful" immediately. Anyone else had this problem, know of a fix? Sent from my Galaxy SIII using XDA-developers incredible android app

I'm trying to write a script to ease the task of downloading videos from streamcloud.

Manualy its easy, but requires many steps. Copy title from actual page, view source code, search for "file:" and then type the wget command.

I let my 3 yr. old grandson play with my phone earlier and some how he got it stuck at a screen that reads:

odin mode product name: sch-I405 custom binary download: no current binary: samsung official

and then there's the android logo, and under it, it says "Downloading... Do not turn off target !!"

It ran like that for about 30 mins.

I have received a text on my Huawei Ascend Y phone that contains a "download" buttom. When I use the button, the labe changes to "downloading" but nothing seems to happen. How is this process supposed to work and what am I doing wrong. If the picture is downloading, where is it going?
