Simple two-server farm:
One SharePoint Foundation 2010 WFE on Windows Server 2008 R2 Std SP1
One SQL Server 2008 Std SP1 backend on Windows Server 2008 SP2
I've just installed Service Pack 1 (14.0.6029.1000) on the SharePoint server and rebooted.
My company isn't ready to migrate SP2007 to SP2010 yet (don't ask). But we need to get Office Web Apps working for some users. Is this at all possible without migrating the whole farm? e.g. can an SP2010 server share the database of the SP2007 farm?
We don't need all SharePoint functionality, just Office Web Apps.
I am trying to move a site collection from one content database to another content database.
I have to say I am very new to this whole field.
Scenario.
I have 2 website a.com and login.com (a uses this to authenticate) So unauthenticated user who tries to access a.com will get redirected to login.com. Now i have a server farm using ARR and I have exact same copy of both the websites in the two different servers in the server farm. Also the session is stored in the database.
This has me scratching my head...
We have a WSS3.0 front-end server which connects to config and content databases on a separate SQL server (SQLA). This DB server is being decommissioned so we are moving the databases to a new server (SQLB). The databases themselves have restored to the new server, so now it's a case of rewiring WSS3.0 to see the new databases.
ASP.NET WEB API
Windows Server 2008 R2/IIS 7.5/Web Farm Framework 2.5
I am planning to deploy application across 4 web servers.
Should i use shared content/configuration using DFS among web servers for web farm scenario?
Second option is to use Web Farm Framework for deployment.
Furthermore, is there chance of single point of failure in WFF?
When I started installing the Humble Indie Bundle 5 games the software center stopped working and now I get this error.

I've been experiencing problems with a exchange database after removing and readding it to a passive node.
