http://ubuntuforums.org – I need help. Similar to another failed thread I recently started, I'm hoping to get a new thread going on the subject of running the original Stronghold (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strongh..._video_game%29) in the more modern versions of Linux/wine. Right now my hang-up is the install. No matter what settings for the install I use - using PlayOnLinux, running manually in wine, using the real CD, using an iso, different versions of wine, different emulated versions of Windows - about a third of the way through the install it asks me for "disk0 that contains data3.cab". PlayOnLinux 3.7.3 is now available !

Okay I'm not trying to be a jerk here. I actually want to know. I could be running wine 1.0 and still use playonlinux, and using POL I can download new updated versions of wine (many have patches already installed).

So why should I even bother upgrading wine manually? Why not just download a new version though POL when it's released as I need it?

First the problem, then what I'm currently attempting I'm running 64 bit ubuntu 12.04. I just bought a copy (with disc) of Office Student 2010. I've tried installing w/ wine and playonlinux. With wine, I get past the license key, it says ok, starts to install, then 'an error has been encountered' - and that's it.

Yes, I know it's a beta so things may just be broken. But I thought I'd ask just in case somebody can help.
