I installed Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS 64bit. Everything works fine. One small problem, the WiFi icon missing on the right side of the upper panel.
Wifi connection actually exists and is working, but only the icon is missing. Every time when I have to switch to another AP I have to go through the "System Settings" and "Network".
A few days ago I was downloading all kinds of themes for my computer but then I realized that the WiFi icon in the top right corner of the panel is missing. Even though i restored all the defaults in my Appearance section and all the Icons are default and the theme is Ambiance but the icon is still missing.
as of the past month i have noticed having a strange wifi issue....when i tether my wifi icon stays grey ( can use feedly and chrome, but nothing else will work like gmail, play store, youtube) ....but when i connect to my home internet the icon is blue....
i am running stock, unrooted....on the nexus
i am using Galaxy s4, root, Wanam ROM, Adam kernel
Just installed 13.10 on my desktop and I really like it.
After having problems with getting the wifi to work, I installed it connected to the internet with an ethernet cable and added in the 3rd party software and updates as per the installation procedure.
After installation was completed, I saw the wifi icon in the upper right hand corner, but it was not seeing any wifi networks.
So I managed to install clockworkmod, and rooted by stock rom with superadmin. I installed Wifi Tether for root phones, it works perfectly. I ran across some issues though. There is something strange happening.
