StormDroid 1.2 and Titanium Backup Issues

http://androidforums.com – Hey all... So I just installed StormDroid 1.2 on my LG Ally. However, the best app (by far) that I have is Titanium backup. I use this app to restore all my apps after a fresh installation... However, I have paid for this version in the past, and it works perfectly with my installation of Velocity 1.2.... However, Now on SD, it recognizes on the main screen that it is a pro version... but if I do anything like Batch, or schedules, or anything that allows doing something with more than 1 app at a time, it basically blows up with either : Guru blew up doing calculations... what v (General)

Hi everybody! I've installed CM9 Nightly (latest version) on my p3100 and tried to restore my app's backup with TB. It works and non problem so far! So.... why in the install instruction of CM9 they tell: DO NOT USE TITANIUM BACKUP TO RESTORE APPS!! ?? :confused:

Hey guys Having a few problems when i restore app data after a ROM flash with Titanium. I've searched around, but can't find anything that works for me :(

Basically, i'm trying to flash PACMan v21 to my GS2, from rooted (dorimanx kernel) stock 4.2.1 touchwiz rom.

I have a few question regarding nandroid backup and titanium backup.

1. If I do nandroid backup of original ROM and then I flash to another ROM, what happens if I directly do restore from the backup from another ROM?

2. What is the difference between nandroid backup and titanium backup? As far as I'm concerned, titanium backup only backup the apps + data. How about nandroid backup?

Well, as the title says, I recently purchased ROM Toolbox, and I already had Titanium Backup PRO. I noticed the former does also the same job of the latter, which is backing up apps + data, and has many batch operations just like Titanium.

Now, I also noticed that both of these two apps generate backup files in .gz format.

I have Titanium Backup PRO and it works fine but is a pain.

When I say its a pain, its because when I flash new roms multiple roms per day, I always need to install the gapps and then go to the market and download the Titanium Backup app and the licence for the Titanium Backup PRO to work with a single click restore. Then I must wait till all apps are restored and then reboot.

Ok so I am running stormdroid 2.0 rom how can i unroot my lg ally? I'm upgrading phones and giving this phone to a friend so how can i unroot it from stormdroid my phones says I'm running 4.0 even though I'm its not.. i think its just part of the rom. anyone help??

For those of you that use Titanium Backup there was a significant update to the application today. You have always had the ability to backup your apps and do a batch restore of your apps and data or just restore the app with no data.

Well now it gives you an option to create a zip (flashable in recovery) of either your apps or your apps with data.
