Hi friends, here is the state :p
My friend bought a HTC Incredible S - made in Taiwan. It came with Stock 2.3.3. Then he upgrade OTA to ICS.
When getting boring, when ask me how to install a custom Rom. I unlocked bootloader, install 4EXT Touch Recovery for him, then make a backup of stock ICS.
Currently on stock rom galaxy y .. Can anyone tell.how to have a successfull backup.of my stock.rom last time I made a backup.using cwm it waz successful and I installed a custom rom which worked fine ..
Background: I am still on ICS 4.0.4 rooted and unlocked (atleast ez unlock says im unlocked and i have superuser and voodoo says im still rooted) .
However, when I try to flash a custom recovery , ROM manager gets stuck at 100 % and closes. I have also tried installing a custom recovery via EZ recovery, and it says its flashed.
Hello
I want a nandroid backup of stock rom because I have installed custom rom and want revert back
to stock rom I have made a backup of stock rom before installing custom rom but when I restore it the
restore completes but the phone stucks at boot Samsung galaxy y young...............
I unlocked my bootloader from htcdev , flashed TWRP recovery , made a nandroid backup of stock rom , flashed su . while I wanted to flash custom I came to know that i have to flash 4ext recovery and enable smartflash (as i am s-on). I successfully flashed custom rom . Now i wanted to return to stock rom(which is updated to ICS ) . But when i restored the stock rom it struck at htc logo.
I was a veteran iPhone jailbreaker before I fell in love with Android. Now, I am wondering about rooting my Android device. I googled around, but couldn't find a solid answer to this question: If I install a custom ROM and recovery, is there any way I can revert BOTH (I know I will be able to revert to stock ROM if I have a Nandroid backup I think).
So here's the deal modders and forum members....
Tried a couple of custom kernels to get my Sola rooted but every kernel had some or the other issue..
So here's what I did to keep the root and to solve the issues...
1) Fastbooted with custom kernel to get rooted
2) Flashed with stock firmware. Tft file (only ticked kernel nothing else) so that's the stock kernel of my firmware.
hey guys hope someone can help. i tried to return my gs3 to stock after rooting it and putting a rom on it, so i used odin and i downloaded the stock tar file from the stock rom thread, and all seemed to go alright but when it rebooted in got stuck on the samsung screen. it shows the sprint bootup thing and galaxy s3 but then gets stuck on samsung screen.
This weird problem started when I was trying to install PureX Audio Mod. I have stock .434 rooted and locked bootloader. I have installed the CWM for locked bootloaders and it was working flwalessly. I also disabled flashing stock recovery on reboot and was working with the device.
