I am running MythBuntu 12.04 (32 bit) with an Intel Atom DN2800MT motherboard (Cedar trail chipset.) I installed the cedar trail proprietary drivers using apt-get and 1080i OTA video works great.
The proprietary bundle included a VAAPI driver, so I read the how-to at www.mythtv.org/wiki/VAAPI and assumed that since the driver was installed, I could skip step 3 (complling the driver).
Hello all,
I try to avoid posting about problems as much as possible, but I'm out of ideas.
I recently upgraded my aging Intel Atom and Nvidia ION-based HTPC to an i3 3225 with the integrated HD4000 graphics. To my surprise, my computer booted after that big of a hardware change (benefits of having intel graphics support in the kernel I suppose).
The old board video was a GMA3150 chipset. The new one is the GMA3600. This was found on the Wikipedia page:PowerVR basedIntel developed a new set of low power graphics architecture based on PowerVR.The available Linux drivers do not support much of this.[26]...GMA 3600This integrated graphics system was released in Intel Atom (Cedar Trail, 32 nm) and based on PowerVR SGX545.
I recently purchased a ASUS 1225C cedar trail netbook.
this is not a constructive criticism or an intelligent post, but i am curious about the answer.
Good day!
I recently bought an Intel d2700dc motherboard, but i quickly realised that there are no video drivers for the internal graphic hardware (Intel GMA 3650).
So now I am looking around for a new Mini-ITX board.
Requirements:
HDMI-output
Able to play 1080p video
Positive but not required:
Fanless
Integrated power supply
Anybody got any suggestion? :)
Hi,
i recently got an Asus laptop with intel core i3-350m and hence the integrated (on cpu) intel graphics.
it was a real nightmare for me to even install opensuse 11.2 as i would get the black screen when X is about to start, until i managed to set the video driver to vesa.
I've just installed Fedora 18 on an old laptop, and it seems I can't get drivers for the graphics card.
"Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device" is what lspci is reporting, but I'm struggling to find proprietary drivers, or a package for it.
I've added RPM Fusion packages, but still, no drivers.
Where (if there are any at all) do I get them?
Intel will not support Linux in its upcoming chip for laptops and tablets. That leaves Windows 8 as the only operating system that will run on the Clover Trail Atom chip.
To be clear, Linux can run on Clover Trail because it is an x86 chip. But it’s unlikely any device maker will want to go to the trouble to do it.
