http://forums.fedoraforum.org – First the System: fedora 11 Intel 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset graphics chipset Intel driver Starlogic 19" LCD monitor. The monitor shows up as "Generic LCD display" and there's no Starlogic selection in the dialogbox from the "configure" button. I'm stuck with a 60Hz refresh rate. When I see text in a browser, an edit field, or whatever, a line or a series of dots sometimes shows up above, below, and sometimes through a few characters including white space. One way to imagine it would be to see strikeout characters in the middle of the text or even spaces and sometime it looks like dots instead of a line. More symptoms: Flash video shows as a series of colorful lines stacked horizontally. The same for the NetBeans splash screen. I'm wondering if I just need to select a monitor type from the configure list that's the same as the Starlogic - I mean, don't all these manufacturers use chipsets from just a handful of manufacturers? Or is it a bug in the driver? (HowTos)
