Blizzard is hoping that while we might all be attempting to destroy each other’s carefully constructed armies when StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is released, that we can all be friends. The developer announced plans for integration of Battle.net – the Blizzard controlled multiplayer network – with Facebook, the friendly social network.
Hello Everyone:
So I've recently downloaded Wine 1.4.1 so that I can play Starcraft 2 on my computer. I use firefox to download Starcraft's .exe installation file, and then I open the folder that I've saved it in. I right click on the file, and select open with Wine Windows Program Loader. Immediately, it takes me to the Checking for Updates box, but never actually progresses anywhere.
Hello there, I'm trying to play Starcraft 2 through Wine/PlayOnLinux and whenever I push "Play" in the launcher's window, I get the following error message.
Code:
==============================================================================
Blizzard Launcher.exe: (build 1815)
Exe: C:\users\Public\Application Data\Battle.net\Client\Blizzard Launcher.1815\
I play Starcraft 2 on Linux and apparently I'm not the only one. At the end of last month I wrote a brief guide for getting Starcraft 2 working under Linux using Wine.
This is the launcher on my desktop:
env WINEPREFIX="/home/zahra/.wine" wine explorer <b>/desktop="StarCraft",1280x1024</b> C:\\windows\\command\\start.exe /Unix /home/zahra/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Program\ Files/Starcraft/StarCraft.exe
The virtual desktop opens just fine, but the game only occupies the top left quarter.
For Southeast Asia, Australian and New Zealand purchasers of StarCraft II, the barrier preventing access to North American servers will be torn asunder. But will you require a new client to access this larger world of battle? For Diablo III fans we have some new information as well.
I recently started playing StarCraft again and I tried to use it with Hamachi and so I tried to install ForceBindIP in order to force StarCraft to use Hamachi as its connection so I could do a UDP Connection through the Hamachi VPN.
Hello
I Have tried for a couple of hours now, to install StarCraft 1 on my Ubuntu notebook, but unfortunately with no luck.. I used Wine, but all I get is an error message.
Now, I said it was a notebook, which means that I do not have a CD drive, so I have created an .iso file, and then tried just to run the installer through Wine, after I unpacked it.
I'm running Starcraft via Wine. It runs perfectly, but I don't know how to add an entry to the list of servers. In Windows it's added via reg file.
