http://askubuntu.com – I've got a 12.04 system and I'm trying to add a config option to just allow one user (me) to use SSH. AllowUsers nancy However, when I add this, it denies everyone, including me. I get: connect to host xyzzy.net port 22: Connection refused I tried AllowGroups as well, but had the same result. Any clues? I'm not seeing anything helpful in syslog. The output of ssh -vvv gives me: OpenSSH_5.9p1 Debian-5ubuntu1, OpenSSL 1.0.1 14 Mar 2012 debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config debug1: /etc/ssh/ssh_config line 19: Applying options for * debug2: ssh_connect: needpriv 0 debug (HowTos)
