http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi Everyone, I've set up Ubuntu 10.04 server as a Virtual Machine on a Xen host (however I think this is irrelevant to this problem). When I try and ssh into the VM, ssh takes quite a long time (maybe 5 or 6 seconds) to bring up the password prompt. In /var/auth/log, I see the following message: reverse mapping checking getaddrinfo for core2.abpni.local [xx.xx.xx.xx] failed - POSSIBLE BREAK-IN ATTEMPT! (xx.xx.xx.xx is the IP of my workstation core2.abpni.local). What I did to fix this was to manually add an entry into /etc/hosts (HowTos)
