I installed a squid on my Debian and it works fine in http mode when I use a browser.
My question is how can I configure squid that Proxifier could connect to it in https mode?
I have a HTTPS server that expects the client to provide a certificate. This cert uses a passphrase. Everything works fine. But if I use SQUID as my proxy then the authentication fails and squid returns a 503.
Is there anything special I would need to configure in squid?
I have Squid running in a transparent mode, for some reason youtube seems to be slow when loader with "http", and flies with "https" !
What I would like to do, is when a client request a youtube page via the an "http" header in the URL, Squid responds accordingly but with an "https" instead in the URL !
Of course, when the client requests it already in "https", Squid will do nothing to the URL !
Squid, a caching proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP, that helps reduce bandwidth and improve response times by caching and reusing frequently requested web pages, is now at version 3.3.11.
Squid 3.3.11 is mainly a maintenance release, but it brings a lot of changes and fixes.
