I've installed Windows Server 2003 R2 and IIS role (no Active Directory role).
I've setup a virtual directory named 'test' and under Security tab of the 'test' Virtual Directory I've disabled the Anonymous login and enabled Integrated Windows Authentication. The server is on the local network. What I do is I access the test/ directory on the server using the browser.
I am trying to connect from desktop to SQL Server 2012 (on a different server) and getting the following error:
Connection Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed during the post-login phase. The connection could have timed out while waiting for server to complete the login process and respond; Or it could have timed out while attempting to create multiple active connections.
I have a strange issue on IIS7 running on Windows 2008 (Domain Controller).
We have a website and we set to use "Windows authentication" only. So, all other authentication methods are disabled.
When the Windows server rebooted, users cannot login, and got 401 error.
But, if I restart the IIS server, it works fine ... until the next reboot.

I've setup a FTP server in IIS 7.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and enabled Basic Authentication. I have a basic user ("Ropstah") on the server which is in the Users and Some Custom groups. I've allowed the Some Custom group read/write access on the FTP folder.
Now when I connect to the server using "Ropstah" I get the following error:
530 User cannot login
Why is this?
I've just built my first LTSP, and have pxe booted my first client, I receive the login screen, but after putting in my user and password I get "ltsp login no response from server restarting" and I'm presented again with the login portal.

1 I have configured Ubuntu server with Key authentication & it is working fine. I have disabled password authentication for key authentication to work. Server is always accessed via remote terminals or putty.
Now all user accounts are able to login with the authentication Key and passphrase. But now I want to create only one new user without key authentication.

We have Windows 2008 windows server in that we are running VISUAL SVN Server, Presently it has subversion login authentication which will be authenticated locally.
We are planning to go through Windows AD integration, What is the proper way of migration of users? will I loose any data while migration?
I am not much into windows server administration. Can anybody please guide me in this..
