I have some sad news for those of you in the UK who happened to splurge on a brand new Galaxy Note II smartphone. While we expected devices outside Korea to feature that awesome and coveted multi-window multitasking feature, it appears that some of the international models released in the UK do not feature the customized multi-window multitasking feature.
I know some of you were disappointed when the apps thread was removed. I am also aware that some of you may not want to root your devices, but you do want the ability to add apps to the multi-window.
This post is meant to assist users with modifying an apk file for use with the Multi-window feature on the Galaxy Note II.
Do you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 from AT&T and have been patiently waiting for the multi-window update? Now you just have to wait one more day as AT&T plans on releasing the update on December 27th (tomorrow).
Hi, okay so i have a non-rooted Note 2, and i've seen videos in which people has some apps (such as twitter, kakao talk, facebook, gmail.. etc) in their multi-window tab but i don't have them in my multi-window tab.

It’s a great time to be an owner of the Canadian variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphone as there is a big time update that is finally on the way.

"If your international Samsung Galaxy note 2 comes with version N7100XXALIE, you will come to the disappointing fact that the multi-window feature is unavailable. On the other hand, if you are running firmware version N7100XXALIH, as many people are, the feature should be working as you would expect.
Hi guys the Note 2 just got updated with multi-window. I was hoping that a dev could port this to the S3. Thanks guys xda is the best.

We previously reported that some Samsung Galaxy Note II’s didn’t have the advertised multi-window support, but an update that is rolling out today will fix that. This will allow Galaxy Note II owners to split the 5.5″ screen in half and run two android apps at the same time. The original Galaxy Note had a similar feature, but it was limited to only Samsung apps.
Hey I just rooted my note 2 today and I was hoping it would give me android 4.1.2. Unfortunately it didnt but it did confirm that the root was done right. I want 4.1.2 so I can have multi window. Other than that I dont know much about rooting at all. I cant find a way to upgrade to 4.1.2 anywhere. I am with rogers and have the sgh-i317m version. Can soneone help me please?!
