Yesterday, things looked all but certain for a merger to occur between T-Mobile and MetroPCS according to an announcement from Deutshe Telekom AG. One day later though the situation may have changed. Reports indicate Sprint may be in the process of preparing a rival proposal to acquire MetroPCS. Analysts believe Sprint and MetroPCS would be a good fit because their networks are compatible.
Sprint will begin offering a WiMAX 4G-ready Android 2.3 phone for just $100 on Aug. 21. The Samsung Conquer 4G features a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 3.5-inch, 480 x 320 screen, plus Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and optional mobile hotspot capabilities, says the carrier....
According to Sprint’s Chief Executive Officer Dan Hesse, the company has reached a milestone of over 1 million LTE devices sold. Sprint offers some great LTE devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC EVO 4G LTE.

At this week's CTIA show, Sprint will unveil a seven-inch Evo View 4G tablet and a 4.3-inch HTC Evo 3D smartphone, both running Android 2.3, plus a Sprint-optimized Motorola Xoom tablet, says a report. Sprint has also criticized AT T's intentions to merge with T-Mobile, which the relatively small carrier claims would leave it in a market dominated by AT T and Verizon....

I want to purchase Sprint EVO 4G phones for my two sons who are currently with Virgin Mobile. I love Virgin service and don't want to switch carriers but THEY really want these phones. The EVO's on the V-Mobile site are way too costly so I was trying to find a sweet deal on E-bay.

This was definitely news that I was surprised waking up to. It appears that T-Mobile USA and MetroPCS are in heavy talks in a merger where T-Mobile will absorb MetroPCS in hopes to compete against Sprint’s #3 spot among US providers. What’s even more surprising is that both T-Mobile and MetroPCS are confirming such talks!
It was confirmed yesterday that MetroPCS and T-Mobile were in talks of a merger, now the deal has been approved. MetroPCS and their 9.3 million subscribers will be under the T-Mobile umbrella, headed by T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere. T-Mobile and MetroPCS have fewer subscribers than Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint, but this deal will bring them to over 35 million customers.
