If you are a parent of a teenager – someone between 12 and 17 years old – the odds are pretty good that they have a cell phone or smartphone. Ensuring safe and responsible use of those mobile devices is a challenge for any parent. Sprint hopes to help with that with the availability of the previously announced Sprint Guardian solution.
Sprint just released an OTA update for their Samsung Galaxy S III. The software version is L710VPLG2 and according to Sprint, it provides a “Google security update.” The user should feel nothing relatively new with this update, it seems as if Sprint is just enhancing the security of the phone. Nonetheless, it’s always good to give your phone any beneficial update.
Did you know that Leap Day was also the 27th Annual International Technology & Persons with Disabilities Conference in Los Angeles? Sprint knew, and announced that it has launched a free app that provides easier access to the smartphones of blind or low-vision Android users.
I had someone flash my Sprint Evo over to Boost Mobile and the guy also had my Sprint number ported too. So I am currently using an Evo with Boost and I won't be able to pay off my Sprint account anytime soon. Will this mess up my Boost account if my Sprint account goes into collections? The Sprint account had 3 phone lines and it's not in my name.
So, I'm probably going to expose my ignorance, but I really don't have a problem with that :)
I have a friend that went and got the new iPhone 5 and is looking to get rid of his SGS III. I'd be interested in buying it, but he uses Sprint and I'm on T-Mo. So, even if I were able to get the phone unlocked would it even be technically possible to use this Sprint phone on the T-Mo network?
For those who switched from sprint to T-Mobile are you satisfied or do you think I should stay with sprint? Is tmobile rates lower than sprints? I currently have 3 lines with sprint. I live in the Los Angeles area using a Samsung Galaxy 3 with 3g internet. :(

I want to purchase Sprint EVO 4G phones for my two sons who are currently with Virgin Mobile. I love Virgin service and don't want to switch carriers but THEY really want these phones. The EVO's on the V-Mobile site are way too costly so I was trying to find a sweet deal on E-bay.
I heard this was possible... Is it?

Sprint Nextel is mulling over changing its 4G strategy, adding LTE to its existing WiMAX service and paving the way for a merger with T-Mobile, according to the Financial Times. Meanwhile, Sprint has sold over 300,000 of HTC's 4G-ready, Android-based Evo 4G phone, but is having trouble meeting demand due to shortages of 4.3-inch displays, says eWEEK....
