http://www.linuxforums.org – I am a newbie I posted this question before & received answers, but after attempting to apply the fix (Unsuccessful), I cannot find my original post (or replies). I recall the suggestion to download the Samsung CLP-315 driver F002qpdl.rkka.com/. when I attempted the download from Samsung, "it" defaulted to Unified Linux Driver _100.tar.gz. Is this correct?. Here are the step by step actions I performed. Applications> Accessories> Terminal. This puts me at the $ (flashing cursor). Where is the "root terminal"? I found a note here to disregard the root & to use the sudo command. I downloaded & unzipped the driver to "Desktop" When I typed in $ sudo cdroot/autorun,(After password) I received the message "command not found". Any assistance would be appreciated. I am a newbie,so please be specific. Thanks Malibujohn [Ubuntu OS Installation] 1. Download and extract the driver. 2. Open ''Root Terminal'' 3. Execute installation program. $ sudo cdroot/autorun 4. After install, PPD path is set again. $ sudo ln -s /usr/share/cups/model/samsung /usr/share/ppd/custom/samsung 5. Execute Configurator, and Add your printer model name by Add Printer. (HowTos)
