Have 3 servers - web server, mail server and outbound-only email server. The outbound-only email server sends transaction based emails on behalf of the web server (password reset, contact us, etc.)
How should I set up the DNS to improve email deliverability for the outbound-only email server.
I'm using the IIS 6 smart host setting to forward all email sent through IIS to SendGrid.
It works fine if I set the Outbound Security and smart host settings at the top level of the Default SMTP Virtual Server properties.
But the downside with that is if I want to switch it off or change the smart host, I have to also edit the Outbound Security at the same time.
I thought I could get around th
I have a customer who has recently begun using GFI Mail protection and archiving to take care of some legal requirements to archive e-mail.
We seem to have the incoming working fine. We changed the MX records to reflect the GFI mail servers. However, I need to force my cpanel server to send e-mails from their domain to the gfi outbound smtp server.
Is it possible to configure sendmail to accept all outbound email but to not send it out? Either it can just log them to be read later, or better yet, if it can be configured to send ALL outbound mail to a preconfigured recipient (regardless of what is specified in the email).
We work on developing applications for e-commerce.
Hi guys,
I am having a issue where all domains installed on my dedicated cpanel server are having trouble sending email to gmail / hotmail and other inboxes. The mail doesn't even look like its reaching them, i am basing this on that the mail is not even in the junk/spam boxes.
All the domains can email each other fine that are all on the same server.
Hey guys,
I recently got a new dedi and configured it with cPanel. Everything seems to be working fine but there is a major issue with emails. Each and every email sent out from the server goes to spam of major providers like live, gmail etc.
I checked the IP and it is not blacklisted anywhere. I have named my server like something.mydomain.com. Does that cause any issues with email?
We have CentOS 6 configured with SELinux to host a number of websites.
Ever since I've moved from a dedicated server, running DA, to a VPS machine, running Cpanel, I've been having problems with spam control (=there are way more spam mails coming through than they used to). Since Spamassassin is the only thing that didn't change (and to my knowledge, I've migrated my own config files as well), the difference must be somewhere else.
Cpanel screws me again. I just found out that i was not getting alot of my mail and i could not figure out why and it was the default email option setting.
The default is suppose to be for emails sent to email addresses that do not exist in an account, such as donkey@xxxx or some other spam name.
